🌹Would You Like to Join the Sapporo Flower Carpet?🌼

Join us as a volunteer and help create a beautiful flower carpet together!

(We will remove petals from roses and carnations, sort them by color, and arrange them to form a picture.)

 

Date & Time:

Day 1. Thursday, June 18, 10:00–16:00 — Remove petals from the flowers

Day 2. Friday, June 19, 9:00–15:00 — Create the artwork using flower petals

 

Meeting Place:

In front of the Operations Tent at Sapporo Kita 3-jo Plaza (Akapura)

 

What is the SAPPORO Flower Carpet?

It is an event where we create one large picture using flower petals and other natural materials.

A grand version of this event is held every two years in Brussels, Belgium.

In Sapporo, it has been held at the Red Brick Plaza since 2014.

The finished work will be on display until Sunday, June 21.

-Activities will continue even in light rain. In case of heavy rain, it may be rescheduled.

-The activities involve kneeling or sitting on the ground. Please wear comfortable clothes.
