According to the forecast, Sapporo City is expected to experience continued high temperatures and humidity in the coming days.
Please take precautions against heatstroke by keeping your room cool with air conditioning and staying hydrated by drinking water frequently.
When the risk of heatstroke is predicted to be extremely high, the Japan Meteorological Agency and the Ministry of the Environment will issue a Special Heatstroke Alert.
This alert will also be shared in multiple languages via Sapporo City’s official LINE account.
If an alert is issued, please try to avoid outdoor activities and move to a cool indoor environment.
Sapporo City has opened libraries and ward community centers as cooling shelters.
